I'm attempting to organize my life.
And when I say life, I mean the 'Travel' page of my blog.
Most of the countries I have visited were pre-Bristol in my Pocket. I thought long and hard about how I should include some of those travels, and it dawned on me: Throwbacks.
So grab a cup of tea and enjoy the lovely pictures of me in my awkward years.

The Grand Canyon
A typical Davis family vacation involves either the beach or a nice modern city. Nature is never really on the agenda. However, there are certain things in America you can't see without having to do some sort of outdoor activity.
The Grand Canyon is an American pilgrimage. It's impossible to even fathom its size, even if you are standing on its edge. Our trip to the Grand Canyon was different, seeing as none of us particularly enjoy the outdoors, but we sucked it up for the sake of its beauty.
I will never forget cruising down the Colorado River in the middle of the Grand Canyon. For being an such an indoor girl, I have to admit this was one of the most amazing sights I have ever seen.
What are some of your favorite outdoor destinations?
Happy Wednesday!

WOW! These photos are amazing. My friend went to the Grand Canyon when it was snowing. For some reason I always picture the Grand Canyon hot and desert-y
ReplyDeleteWhen I went there were actually snow patches on the ground that had not melted yet! It was fairly chilly there in March!
DeleteOh wow! I love seeing the Grand Canyon again! I haven't been since I was about 13 though. x
ReplyDeleteI feel like everyone should see it at least once!
DeleteThe Grand Canyon is at the top of my list to see back at home! These are beautiful pictures as well, I can't wait to finally see it myself!
ReplyDeleteYou should def plan a trip sometime when you're back in the states!
DeleteOH MY GOD!!! SOOOO Beautiful!!! I have to go there someday too!!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite outdoor destination is the mountain Storsteinen in Tromso. I went there in winter and you can see down on the little city, you have an amazing view on the surrounding mountains and you can watch planes starting and landing.....I could have stayed there for hours if it weren't for the cold....but other than that I just enjoy every spot where you can find water....doesn't matter whether it's the sea or just a river but when the sun shines and you sit there and relax - that's just my everyday outdoor relaxation destination :D
I had never heard of Storsteinen so I just looked it up and wow! It looks amazing!
DeleteI love your photos, my other half is on at me that for his next significant birthday he wants to white water raft down the grand canyon, this scenery may convince me! Lovely post, if i had to choose outdoor uk it would have the be the lakes its so amazing!

I'm not an outdoor girl at all, but I highly suggest rafting through the Grand Canyon! It makes you feel so small!
