Arrington Vineyards | Nashville, Tennessee

14 May 2015

In case you missed it, I visited the wonderful city of Nashville a couple of weeks ago. Spending the weekend with your best friends means lots of food, lots of gossip, and lots of wine. We wanted a way to spend Saturday evening outside in Nashville's beautiful weather without straining ourselves with physical activity. That's where Arrington Vineyards comes in. Just a thirty minute drive south of downtown Nashville, Arrington Vineyards lies in the rolling Tennessee hills. The vineyard is more casual than anything, which gives establishment a very welcome feeling.

Arrington offers a variety of visiting options, however the most popular is the AV Picnic Tasting. For $12 you can sample four different wines held in a convenient carrier that you can bring out to the vineyards beautiful yard. I opted for two whites, a rose, and a dessert. The wines were unique and delicious; the view beautiful and relaxing.

We decided to go at sunset on Saturday evening. Although crowded, we were able to find a table in the vineyards vast yard. Watching the sunset over Tennessee's rolling hills was the perfect way to spend a weekend evening. It's hard to believe a place like Arrington Vineyards was so easily accessible outside busy Nashville. This little hillside winery was one of the biggest highlights of my trip to Music City.

Happy Thursday!
