Trinity College Library | Dublin, Ireland

BLOG EVERY DAY IN MAY | DAY 7
2014 is a big year for Ireland.
It is the 1,000 year anniversary of the Battle of Clontarf, the battle which reduced Viking power in Ireland. While Meagan and I were in Ireland, we made a little stop at Trinity College to see the Battle of Clontarf and Brian Boru exhibit. While I was unable to snap any pictures of the beautiful manuscripts, I did get some amazing photos of the Long Room.

The Long Room, built in the 18th century, holds over 200,000 books.
It is 200 feet long and two stories tall, books covering almost every inch.
The Trinity College collection includes the Book of Kells, a 9th century illuminated manuscript, and a 1916 copy of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic.

Happy Wednesday!
