Salisbury Cathedral

11 December 2013

After my trip to Stonehenge with the other international students, our guide took us to the town of Salisbury.

To be honest, I wasn't really looking forward stopping in some tiny town that I knew nothing about. I was cold and ready to go home. However, I was impressed beyond belief. Not only was it a beautiful English town, but there was so much to do!

Salisbury Cathedral was our first stop.
Dating back to the 13th century, this cathedral is home to the world's oldest working clock and one of the four original copies of the Magna Carta. I have now seen three out of the four original surviving copies!

I was amazed at the size of the cathedral considering Salisbury is such a small little town.
Being able to hop on a bus and see these beautiful cathedrals is still a bit surreal to me!

Happy Wednesday!

  1. Wasn't Salisbury the town in The World Without End? Which by the way, if you haven't watched that mini series, you'd probably love it :)
